Lola’s Pub and Grub in Cornwall, in collaboration with Dynamic Closures as the event sponsor, recently hosted a highly successful chili cook-off on March 9th. The proceeds from the event, totalling over $1,500, were given to Beyond 21, a non-profit organization that provides a day program for adults with developmental disabilities in Cornwall.

Beyond 21 relies heavily on fundraising initiatives and community donations to support its general operations and activities for participants. The funds raised at the chili cook-off will contribute to acquiring program equipment crucial for teaching essential home and life skills, recreational activities, creative arts, and more.

Rory Brennan, a first-time chili entrant, claimed the first-place title, while Jim Beaudette secured a respectable second place. The competition was fierce, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to our distinguished judges, Marianne, Rick and Paul, for generously lending their time and taste buds to help determine the grand prize winner!

This marks the 8th consecutive year that Lola’s Pub and Grub has hosted the chili cook-off, attracting participants from across the community. The event has become a cherished tradition, bringing people together to enjoy delicious chili and partake in the festivities. The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation underscore the success and appeal of this event.
