Amy’s journey to Beyond 21 is rooted in a personal connection to individuals with developmental disabilities. Witnessing the challenges her family faced to find quality programming for her Aunt/ Godmother, Heather, who has a developmental disability, coupled with her desire to make a tangible difference in her community, Amy felt a calling to apply herself to a cause that is meaningful to her. Her decision to pursue this role aligns perfectly with her lifelong commitment to serving others and advocating for those in need.
Throughout her professional career, Amy has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a remarkable ability to drive meaningful change. From orchestrating successful fundraising initiatives (she raised $100,000 in just six for an organization close to her heart!), to spearheading impactful community projects, Amy has consistently shown her ability to make a positive impact wherever she goes.
Amy’s vision for Beyond 21 is one of inclusivity, empowerment, and growth. She sees a future where every individual we serve has access to enriched opportunities, meaningful connections, and a sense of belonging within the SD&G and Akwesasne community. Under Amy’s leadership, we are confident that Beyond 21 will continue to expand its reach, enhance its programs, and strengthen its partnerships to better serve those in need.
