CORNWALL, ON — September 2026 — This summer brought new experiences, special memories and incredible community support to Beyond 21.

The summer began with a very special evening for our participants — a prom of their very own. For many, it was their first prom, giving them the opportunity to dress up, dance and celebrate with their friends. Seeing their faces light up throughout the evening was priceless and it was a night our participants, family and staff will cherish forever.

The months that followed were filled with opportunities for the community to come together in support of Beyond 21. From Yoga by the Water and the Beyond 21 Open Fields Poker Run, to the Beyond the Bases baseball tournament organized by Wheeler Munro, the Great Raisin River Footrace and the Red Maple Fall Classic Golf Tournament, each event brought people together for a great cause.

Together, these summer fundraising initiatives raised more than $75,000 for Beyond 21.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this summer so special,” says Amy Malyon, Executive Director of Beyond 21. “Whether you participated, volunteered, sponsored an event, donated or organized something of your own, you helped make a difference. Most importantly, you helped us create opportunities and experiences for our participants that they will remember.”

Funds raised help support Beyond 21’s programs and opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities throughout Cornwall, SDG, Akwesasne and Iroquois. They also support the organization’s Room to Grow Capital Campaign, which will expand the Beyond 21 space with a STEM lab, art studio, sensory room and additional office space.
